- The Race Committee shall display a class flag at or before the Warning sound.
- The starting sequence shall consist of the following sound signals made at the indicated times.
- Start Sequence Timing shall be from the beginning of any individual or group of sound signals.
- Sound signals shall govern, even if visual signals are also used.
- Short sound signals are 0.5 second in length
- Long sound signals are 1.0 second in length
- When more than one sound makes up a sound signal, the space between individual sounds is 0.5 second.
- Individual and General Recall flags and sounds remain the same as in the RRS.
- Failure to hear any hail or sound signal shall not be grounds for redress. This changes RRS 62.1(a).
- The Class flag will be removed after the Start sound, but it's removal does not indicate that start of the race, the sound signal indicates the start of the race.
