Youth Sailing Instructors
The Club hires instructors to instill a love and joy for sailing in youth.
The community comes to us for affordable sailing Education, Recreation, Social Events and Racing programs.
Programs our staff support include:

Youth Summer Sailing Camp instruction (CANSail) - including lesson plan creation and completing sailor evaluations

Mobile Optimist Sailing School (MOSS) -teaching at lake communities throughout the city

Scouts and Girl Guide Sailing programs
-
Collegiate Sailing program instruction and coaching
-
Youth Race Team coaching
-
Public education
-
Private lessons
Sailing Instructor candidates will possess:
-
Sailing experience
-
Strong organizational and communication skills
-
Experience working with youth ages 6 to 18 is considered an asset
-
CANSail 1/2 Instructor Certification is considered an asset
-
Ability to tow boat trailers is an asset

All of our instructors need to be CANSail Instructor certified before the start of the season. Sail Canada offers a couple pathways to achieve certification, and we work with our instructors to get certified.
