Race Management Courses

Volunteers are essential to sailboat racing.
Our free Race Management Courses provide volunteers with the fundamental knowledge and practical experience to run sailboat races.

Our Race Management Training covers:
  • Setting the course (triangle or windward/leeward)
  • Starting processes (timing, flags, the line, recording)
  • Finishing processes (order of finish / times)
  • Racing Rules of Sailing (introduction)
  • Safety
Race Management volunteering is an exciting way to be involved with sailing when not out on a boat. See racing from another perspective and gain ideas for your next start or simply to enjoy the show.

Well run races are appreciated by the sailors.
